Info... inestimable! Most applications try to prevent data loss. Word processors create backup copies of documents, browsers remember login info that you enter on Web pages. Password managers let you store your passwords, backup software let you backup virtually everything. Yet, why do you have to waste hours or even days restoring bits of valuable information? How is it that you lose your info once in a while?

Is there a solution? I was happily surprised to get a free program that does just what I want. This product is called REFOG Free Keylogger. Despite its funny name, the application has nothing to do with monitoring. It simply stores all programs that you use on your own computer, the titles of their windows, all text you type, etc.

Imagine you are writing an email. Then there's a glitch and you have to write the same text from scratch. Sounds familiar? With REFOG Free Keylogger, you will never lose any of your text, whether it was typed in a web browser or any in any other program. Go ahead and open Refog's log. You will find all your info right there.

When I need to get several fragments of text from a web site or a Word document. Windows clipboard only allows you tolets you get one piece of text at a time. I use REFOG Free Keylogger to grab as many pieces of text at a time any way I wish. I just copy them all into the Windows clipboard and I get the whole thing in my REFOG log.

Forgot the URL of that page? Why haven't you bookmarked it? I was guessing URLs as you do. But now my REFOG Free Keylogger stores them all for me. Yes, it also keeps the URLs of all the Web sites that you visit.
