Die neueste Version des Microsoft Media Players unterstützt jetzt noch mehr Formate. Das Abspielen von lokalen Dateien wie z.B. alle Audio- und Videoformate ist damit ebenso möglich wie das abspielen von Dateien die in HTML Dateien eingebettet sind. Diese Dateien werden schon während der Übertragung abgespielt so daß keine langen Wartezeiten auftreten. Auch die Optik kann nun beliebig angepaßt werden.
