Mit dem Programm Elektrische Felder kann der Feldlinienverlauf von mehreren Ladungen in der Ebene simuliert werden. Mit der Maus oder Tastatur können beliebig viele Ladungen verschiedener Größe und Polarität auf der Fläche positioniert werden. Im Anschluss daran errechnet das Programm die elektrische Feldverteilung und stellt sie durch Feldlinien dar. Das Feldlinienbild kann über die Zwischenablage in andere Programme (z.B. Textverarbeitung) eingebunden werden.
