Das Programm überwacht die CPU Auslastung und erkennt so, ob der PC noch etwas zu tun hat und fährt ihn herunter, wenn dies nicht der Fall ist. Praktisch wenn man z.B. über Nacht eine CD brennt oder die Festplatte defragmentieren will und der PC sich danach von alleine herunterfahren soll.
